  • Is it normal to spit blood while brushing?

    Spitting blood when you brush your teeth needs to be treated seriously, as it can be one of the first signs of gum disease, a major cause of tooth loss.

  • How can I help prevent gingivitis?

    You can help to prevent gingivitis that is caused by the buildup of plaque by adopting a good oral health routine.   • Will brushing with parodontax stain my teeth?

    parodontax is specially formulated to help prevent staining.  Toothpastes that contains water, and therefore, aqueous, may stain teeth.  parodontax is non-aqueous (contains no water), therefore will not stain teeth.

    The active ingredient is stannous fluoride (0.454%), which provides gingivitis protection.

  • How do I use parodontax toothpaste?

    Apply toothpaste onto a toothbrush, brush teeth thoroughly, preferably after each meal at least twice a day and not more than three times a day, or as directed by a dentist or doctor. Minimize swallowing. Spit out after brushing.

    To minimize swallowing for children under six years of age, use a pea-sized amount and supervise brushing and rinsing until good habits are established.

  • What is parodontax mouthwash?

    It's a daily antigingivitis and antiplaque oral rinse with the proven ingredient Cetylpyridinium Chloride (CPC), which kills 99.9% of plaque bacteria.  It targets bacteria* and forms an antibacterial shield  (*shown to kill plaque bacteria associated with gingivitis andodor-causing bacteria in a laboratory test)

  • How does parodontax mouthwash help prevent bleeding gums?

    Plaque bacteria can build up in vulnerable and hard-to-reach places, including deep between the teeth and at the gumline which can cause early gum problems including bleeding. 

    parodontax mouthwash can reach all the areas of your mouth including between the teeth. It kills 99.9% of plaque bacteria*, which is one of the main causes of gum problems and forms an antibacterial shield** to help prevent further plaque build-up.  Plaque build-up may lead to bleeding gums.

  • What is the active ingredient?

    It is Cetylpyridinium Chloride (0.07%).

  • How do I use parodontax mouthwash?

    Adults and children 6 years of age and older: vigorously swish 20 milliliters (4 teaspoonsful) of rinse between your teeth twice a day for 30 seconds and then spit out.  Do no swallow the rinse.  Do not rinse with water. Do not drink from the bottle.

    Children 6 years to under 12 years of age: supervise use
